Steel-It Paint for Firearms??

Steel-It (brand name) claims to be a polyurethane with stainless steel in it. Supposed to protect really well. You're even supposed to be able to weld metal it's been applied to. Anybody have any thoughts or experience using it on firearms as an alternative to the more expensive measures such as Cerakote or Nitriding? Thinking about giving it a go on a couple of my throw down guns to see.

Interesting paint. I used BBQ grill paint on an AR barrel for a friend. It has been holding up well.
