Still haven't seen a Sig P365 in person.

Been following the hullabaloo over the pistol since it was released nearly a year ago.

Heard about how great it was to hold and shoot and that the 10-round capacity was a game-changer. Then the reports started coming in regarding all of the issues.

Guys that paid $600+ for the hottest new pistol got very defensive about it's shortcomings. The P365 arguments on various gun forums are legendary. They are fun to read.

Supposedly the latest ones born in October are good to go, but I've read that the front night sights are weak and they still have striker drag.

No shop I've been in the last year has had one in stock.

I stopped by one the other day and he said they got two in the day before. One had a dead trigger and had to go back to Sig, and the other was sold within an hour of going on the shelf.

I have never seen one in person and I have never seen such a problem-plagued pistol sell so well.

Does anyone else recall such a problem-plagued firearm to be in such high demand?

I can't think of any other firearm that has had so many issues and multiple running changes made to it in such a short time remain so popular.

I looked at one with price tag of $559.99. Went home with second hand like new Walther PPS for total $267.50. The only thing I wish one of the magazines was six rounder instead of both being eight. I will never understand why people buy guns for consealment and buy the longest magazines available.:barf:
The Sig is really small handgun same size as LC9.

No, but I don’t recall ever seeing a 10+1 that small before either. They are in demand for a reason.

Me, I’m not ready to leave my boring old G43 7+1= piece of mind for me.

Sidebar – When I first got my G43, I hated it. It took more that a few thousand rounds for me to find the love. But I have it now.

Handled one locally and it won’t be replacing my p99c any time soon. If it weren’t for the hype around capacity I think it would be only slightly more popular than the gen1 p250.

Lots of people seem to love it, though, so my opinion is worth almost what you paid for it...

We get 2-3 365s in every week or so, and they sell quick. However......we have a steady supply of G43s and they sell just as fast. I'm sticking with my 7+1 G43 as well. MUCH better feel in my hands. Not to mention the trust factor.........

I have a P365 with about 500 rds through is and it has been a good shooter.

I have not started carrying it yet because of the reports.

I was going to buy a g43 for smaller carry (and still might) but, the P365 felt better to me.

Don't own one, but have shot a few mags worth through a buddy's gun. Very nice, and I get the hype. Will probably pick one up some day...

I've thought about getting one several times as I'm a big fan of the 320. However, the price is a bit of a turn off. I have an EC9S that does well for me.

That said, I'm kinda thinking a PPS may be in my future, but I wouldn't put the 365 out of the running.

Love mine, anything past June has the bugs worked out. Mine was $475 OTD from Gander Outdoors about 2 months ago. Added two 12 round mags which makes the grip even that much more awesome. This gun is the same size as my Kahr CM9 with twice the capacity.

I bought my first P365 in March and my second in July of this year. My LGS has sold hundreds of them all at $515, has not been out of stock for months, and currently has 18 on the floor.
BTW, believe only a portion of what you read on the internet. I can only speak for myself and the thirty or more people that come into our range with P365's from literally each and every month they were made, they are the real deal, if you are looking for a small high capacity carry gun from a reputable manufacturer get one in your hands.

They are real small and the smaller the more carry options one has. Be sure to try great 365 ammo loaded for Sig Sauer. I gave up HST Micro in favor of V-Crown Sig brand. It works great in Glock & Walther despite what Cabela's employee behind gun counter told me.

Gunshops in my area typically sell the P365s the same day they put 'em out on the counters. I shot the snot out of a couple recently and I totally get the hype. It is not simply around the capacity. Superb ergonomics, the X-ray front sight (like on the Legions) is perfect, the trigger is excellent and the accuracy typical SIG performance. I finally ordered one.

I've seen three and handled two of them.

It's a nice gun but feels a touch small for my hands. The P938 suits me a bit better, so I plan to pick one up.

I may pick up a P365 in the future, but I'm going to wait for my local range to have one to rent.

I intend to carry this )after I lose a little, OK, a LOT of weight) so I'll be getting a second for back up

The only ones I've seen in the flesh were two that were coming back to my LGS, each on separate occasions, each having some problem. I have not shot one, so I cant say if all the problems they're having are worth the hassle, but I've found it odd that all the hubbub is about it being able to hold 10+1 in such a small package...didnt Kel-Tec do that with the P11 over a decade ago? Not saying Kel-Tec has the most refined designs, but sure seems Sig brought this one out a bit half baked

So here's what I said a little earlier (you must have missed it):

Yes, the capacity is a big deal, but in my opinion, even if it were simply a single-stack seven or eight shot pistol, it'd still be worthy because of its other attributes in a pistol its size.
