Stocks....375 RUM

Going in a completely different direction from the initial purpose with the new ( to me) .375 rum. Input on stocks would be welcome , target weight of rifle being 14 lbs or under scoped. Rem 700 ,26 inch Shilen. Still needs to be field shootable.

And just how much benefit do y'all think a muzzle brake is going to be?

That's pretty heavy - what will you use it for? What kind of stock now?

A brake will help a lot and make it more noisy. Look at Vias. A good recoil pad will also help. Using 260 gr bullets will reduce recoil over 300 gr.
