Anybody yet see this new revolver, which I saw on the Gunblast ShotShow video?

http://stdgun.com/

It's called a "Volleyfire", a double-barrel .22 WMR revolver (!!!).
I have zero opinions about it, except that I think the barrels are 'way too short to get the benefit of a full cartridge burn.

Looks like one is supposed to use two fingers on the trigger, which is odd. Must be one of those 25lb Nagant-style triggers.

Pretty mean feat of engineering to get two chambers machined and timed to work with two barrels simultaneously... for four revolutions of the cylinder.

Shooting my 4” .22 WMR leads to a surprising amount of flame and noise at the indoor range, loads more hoopla than from the rifles. Twice the ruckus from half the barrel just doesn’t sound like a lot of fun. :what:

Neat concept though...

Stay safe!

I’m assuming the hammer spring to get two rim fire cartridges to go off reliably has to be stout... I don’t see how this offers any advantage over an LCR22 Magnum.

Not related per se but I’d like to see a quality made reissue of the Grendel .380 with the integral 12 round mag. I had one years ago- it worked great but I think the frame was styrene or something... it cracked.
Was reloadable by stripper clips.
Why these companies go off into the weeds when they could just revisit some of the old designs that might’ve been good but suffered from lack of qc or lesser materials.

This showed up on my youtube feed over the weekend. I watched a couple minutes with the sound turned off. I'm not sure what the benefit is, unless it offers a low trigger pull and mild recoil for those that need it (elderly, women, arthritic) and want double the firepower with one trigger pull over a LCP in .22mag.
