Stuck piston & spring(nevermind, figured it out)

I have a brand new Octane 9. I put in a Griffin Cam-Lok piston and their Plan A adapter.

First 4 shots, perfect, slide cycles, sound was better than I was expecting.

Then 5th shot was noticeably louder so I looked and the spring was stuck compressed.

I have managed move it some but cannot free it.

The manual shows using a screwdriver to twist it out. I sprayed it with CLP and will try again.

I thought there should be some grease on it when I put it together but I couldn't find anything in the manual about lubing the spring and/or piston.

Any tips/tricks to keep this from happening again would be appreciated.

Basically, I'm a dumbass who bought to many parts and was dieing to use them.
Got rid of the Plan A adapter and used the SiCo housing and what do you know, bet it works now.
Used some Aeroshell 33 grease on the piston and threads.
Going for a check after bit.
