Does any manufacturer make a 1/8 twist mid length pencil barrel with a sub moa guarantee? Steel type doesnt matter to me, so long as its lightweight and sub-moa accurate. I do not like the 1/7 very much, do to my preference for lighter bullets. I'd also like a Wylde chamber, so I can use 5.56.

So, does anyone make one? Does anyone make anything close? I currently have a FN CHF pencil and it will hold about 2moa, which is not terrible, but not quite as accurate as I'd like.

Check out Fulton Armory. They sell a "match" light weight 1:8, believe it is a Criterion. Has a 223/556 "hybred chamber", that I would assume to be a Wylde.

I believe what you are going to see is barrels labeled "Match Quality". Neither the barrel maker or the retailer has a clue what rifle you plan to put the barrel on or what ammunition you plan to shoot in the barrel. I can't see how they could guarantee sub MOA accuracy on just a barrel. Here is an example of a Fulton Armory 5.56 / 223 barrel. Note, they only state "Match Quality".

Lol, it must adhere to the law (like a city ordinance). Kind of scary buying a barrel when they cant spell the words right....:uhoh:

I will say though, their 20" pencil looks nice. I'd have to buy a rifle length gas tube, no biggie. Cant seem to find any first hand experience with them online though.

I will probably buy one of these barrels myself, or I might just buy a complete legacy 20" upper.

Even scarier when those words don't even mean anything, legible or otherwise... What would that even mean, anyway? That the guns are made of the same stuff as howitzer rounds? What's that supposed to indicate?

Here's a brain teaser for a moment; somebody name anything in the commercially-available gun-world that goes by "xxxx-grade" which actually carries meaning. I honestly think the term is something of a negator (cancels out the meaning of the word attached to it), sort of like "xxxx-like" --whether it's "leather-like" or anything else, you know it won't be as good as the real thing :D

Our barrels are New and Improved incorporating a Unique Space Age design and constructed of High Quality Ordnance Grade 4140 Steel.

It just makes me want one of those barrels as opposed to for example:

Our barrels are constructed from Case Hardened Peanut Butter.

You just need to use really cool words to boost the product. Buzz words and terms. :)

I had a Criterion LW CL barrel on a .308 AR, and it put up some MOA groups from prone with a sling while zeroing for hunting hand loads. It would probably do even better from a rest or something, and with OTM bullets. Criterion is legit and has a good reputation, though.
