Suggestions for 7mm-08 hunting ammo

I've thought my 7mm08 Browning A-Bolt has been the best and most accurate rifle I own since the day I bought it. I've run just about every factory load available in the 139-140gr class, handloaded heavier bullets of different manufacturers and it's always performed well. It's killed whitetails and mule deer up close and really far. Arguably, it's the perfect deer caliber.
Since bullet placement is the single most important factor in hunting any game, I suggest trying different loads by manufacturer, weight, style and cost, until you find what your son's new rifle really likes.

If you're reloading, 140 gr Nosler Ballistic Tips hit the mark. I haven't shot factory ammo in years so I'm not even sure what's available for the 7-08. Great gun though, accurate, not much recoil. I have a short barrel also, very loud. I kinda like that :D

We sighted it in on Saturday using 140gr cor-lokt factory ammo. Accuracy was good and from everyone's comments I think the bullet will not have any performance problems. I am saving my brass and plan to start reloading for it after hunting season. Thanks for everyone's input!
