Apparently the Supreme Court is not only tackling the question of misdemeanor domestic violence, but also straw purchases and whether they can be applied if someone buys a gun for a non-prohibited person.

The defendant bought a gun with a law enforcement discount and sold it to his uncle.
Still, isn't there an exemption for "gifts" that addresses this very situation? And wouldn't this count as a ftf sale?
