I just purchased a brand new Surefire E2e after a couple years of wanting one. I'm now experimenting with carry methods. I tried just sticking it in my pocket. That worked well w/ my Maglite because it had a holster to keep it upright and it was long enough to grab easily. The Surefire is too short of that.

Right now it's just clipped to the inside of my left jeans pocket, like you'd clip a knife. It's very accessible and fairly comfortable. It protrudes a fair amount though, so I'm not 100% pleased.

How do you all carry your Surefire/high output lights?

Back pocket, on the outward side so I don't sit on it. The checkering on my E2e scratched up my cell phone, which is why I put it in my back pocket.

I've carried an E2e in my pocket, but it's not very comfortable. I used to carry a 6P sometimes on plastic belt carrier. I'm coming to be a fan of very small lights for everyday usage.

loose fitting cargo shorts + E2D = win

I just stick it in a cargo pocket and go

I usually jam my Inova into my back left pocket, then take it out when I sit on it and it gets uncomfortable, then lose it. A week later I find it again, then put it in my back left pocket, then sit on it, then lose it. Lather, rinse, repeat.

One carry rig I'd like to get someday would be a shoulder holster with room under the right shoulder for a surefire, extra mag, and maybe some pepper spray. That way your right hand would have access to a firearm and your left would be able to access the accessories. Another advantage is that the weight of the firearm is balanced out.

ooo thats nice abaddon! I wonder if someplace already makes them? If not you should look for a custom made one and post pics!

some shoulder holsters already have mag pouches on the side opposite the holster, not sure about pepper spray or lights, but i'm sure it is an option.

I was thinking in terms of just making it oneself. Get a shoulder holster and figure a way to attach the spray and light. You could use existing models of pepper spray holsters as well as existing models of surefire holsters.

I keep my Fox 2oz pepper spray in my pocket, but I used electrical tape to attach a very short paracord loop. That makes it easy to grab just by hooking my thumb in my pocket. If I had a shoulder holster and wanted to improvise I suppose it would be pretty easy to figure out a way to hang my pepper spray from the right shoulder - maybe use one of those quick-release keychain thingies.

Can't go wrong with a surefire brand holster. I use one every day of the year.

When I'm feeling like guy jewelry I wear a single cell surefire around my neck.
