Surefire forend question

I just picked up a Mossberg 590a1 that had the surefire forend already installed on it. It looks to be an older model, that reads Laser Products Corp on the right side, a LPC logo on the left side an H23 on the bottom. My question is, come time I need to replace the battery, how do I remove the light? Thanks.

already asked in Firearm Accessories, and the search feature didnt seem to yield any information.



As it turns out, I just needed to stop limp wristing it and use some elbow grease. All is well and good in the world of the forend.

They were good units. you unscrew the whole light tube out. the Surefire batteries work best.

You can also change the SF halogen lamp assembly for an LED lamp assembly which is more durable and has a better runtime.
