It was cool to see the insides of it.

Did you take it apart before shooting it at all?

I can see how even a minor mistake in re-assembly could cause a hiccup.

Mine has worked flawlessly- even in my beater AR with the slide fire stock on it.

No, I did not disassemble it before shooting this video or before doing my testing.

While some of the mags may work fine, others have reported problems with theirs too. GunWebsites has posted videos about similar problems.

i shot the steel city carbine match yesterday in birmingham. great match. highly recommend it.

some dude on my squad were using one those mags. was an interesting conversation about how their "no hassle guarantee" apparently meant they wouldn't hassle you by returning your calls. according to them, they couldn't get the mag to run in any gun and surefire wasn't much interested in a return or refund.

That's truly unfortunate, Taliv. Given the comments I've gotten from other owners out there experiencing the same issues, I'm sure Surefire is inundated with complaints and returns... and is likely overwhelmed.

Justin and Curtis have both been running these in Pueblo. I've seen a couple of malfunctions so far.

thanks for the report as I see they are pretty easy to come by now.

So bottom line should I buy one or not?

the pmag extension (nordic?) is what i've been using in matches for years to get 40+ rounds. never had a malf with it. and imho anything more is starting to be too much weight and will start slowing the gun down

yep nordic

i got just the extension and used my own pmag. apparently you can buy them assembled too now. mine is quite old though.

i definitely wouldn't buy the surefire. they should have stuck to flashlights
