I have a question and hope someone can help out.
The gas seal (ring) on the piston was unserviceable and so I had a new one made out of aluminum wire. (Could not find a source to buy them)
Inside diameter of piston cup is 0.430"
Outside diameter of new gas ring on piston is 0.427"
Adjustment tool in hand I went to the range and found that the gun did not cycle properly in any setting...usually re-chambering the spent case, other times crushing the case neck when the bolt closed.
Does anybody know what the spec should be? Is aluminum correct? That is what the remains of the original looked like.
