Absolutely pointless but cool. Heard they were illegal. Does that mean nfa restricted or unobtainable? If not, how do you get one? How much are they?

Not importable to the US because there is no "sporting purpose". Shoots 2.34mm rimfire.

The company says it's working on one a little bigger that can be imported.

How could they have been legally imported?

That's sort of my point. You said some were here in the US, so if they can't be legally imported I would assume they are contraband and therefore illegal unless there was some other legal method used to get them here.

The whole thing is completely ridiculous of course. ATF doesn't even consider target shooting or competitions like USPSA or 3 gun to be "sporting purposes".

Doh, I opened this page expecting a European version of a six-barreled machine gun.

In regards to the importation issue, is it the act of importing the item the legal issue?

Yes - it seems that even items that are not allowed to be imported that are otherwise legal and already here in the USA aren't confiscated, etc. That's my experience, anyway. :)

i have heard about these. apparently they have just enough power to penetrate a millimeter or so into the eye. it's basically a toy.

Not I buy that that gun could do that much damage the ammunition is only supposed to have a muzzle velocity of 440 fps or so and I can't imagine it has anywhere near the energy of a pellet gun with a larger projectile moving faster.

shotgunjoel Wouldn't that also be in violation "plastic gun ban" which requires a certain amount of of ferrous material?
What plastic gun ban?:scrutiny:
Is my Glock 7 safe because it is completely made of porcelain?

:D

2.34mm caliber, 1.97 grains pushed at 400fps. What is that ... 1 joule???

The Average .68 cal. paintball traveling at 300 fps carries 16 joules of energy.
A .20g 6mm airsoft BB traveling at 328 FPS carries 1 joule of energy.
Assassins everywhere are slavering over getting their hands on something that powerful.:barf:

An anemic kindergartner who missed his nappy time and is armed with a #2 pencil worries me more.

"Wondering if I fired five rounds or six. Truth is, I don't know myself. But considering this is a Swiss Mini-gun, the smallest gun in the world, and it might leave a pimple sized divot in your forehead, you may have to ask yourself, 'Do you feel lucky?'

Well do you, PUNK?"

There was a picture, but it wasn't specifically attributed to the l'il Swiss thingy. It's since been removed.

I have two of these that were legally imported in the '60s before the '68 GCA. The name on mine is Xthos. (sp?) I think they may have also imported them with another name on them but I'm not sure. I don't remember where they were built but I don't think is was Switzerland. I have ammo too but never tried to fire one. IIRC there is no projectile in the cartridge but the rumor was that one could be added (a bird shot pellet) and it would fire it. Most of the ones that were imported had plugged barrels but some had open barrels. I'll let you guess which I got  Mine have been packed away for YEARS. I guess I should go dig them and take pictures.
