T/C Hawken Manual & muzzle velocities

Hi all,

I'm getting ready to finally shoot the Hawken and have a question.

While looking at the load data for 50 cal. PRB, there are 2 Muzzle velocities
listed for each load. For example: 70 grs. FFG lists 1643 fps and 1050 fps.

Is one for cap lock and the other flint? Seems like an awful lot of deviation.
I saw no explanation in the manual (may have missed it though).

Note the column headings and the units; 1643 fps is muzzle velocity and 1050 ft lbs is muzzle energy.

Both headings are written Muzzle Velocity.

lists it as velocity then energy.
