Anyone have a suggestion for a tactical style seat cover that will hold an AR in the vertical position behind the seat. I saw one online but there was no info on manufacturer

I got seat covers that have Molle/PALS type webbing sewn on the back, and can configure them with any scabord, pouch, or holster that uses that system.

It added quite a bit of organized storage to my regular cab pickup.

Hang a chest rig on the back of the seat, add a molle butt bucket at the bottom, and an elastic loop with a hook on one side to the top. “Drawing” an AR from a completely enclosed case/holster on the back of the seat isn’t going to work, and a side entry zipped case isn’t going to be very quick to access.

An Eberlestock rifle case hung on the back could work quite nicely too, but again, the more enclosed the bucket, the harder it will be to draw the rifle for use.

Smittybilt makes MOLLE compatible covers if you’re willing to part with the coin, try looking at 4x4 specialty sites for results. I was planning to buy a set for my Jeep early on but I sent it down the road 13 years later (last week) with basic Walmart specials instead.

Here’s a link: https://www.4wd.com/s/_/?Ntt=Molle+seat+covers&_requestid=38345 Prices can vary significantly if you decide to buy so be sure to shop around, or save the money and hassle and do what VT suggested above. In a real situation you’ll have a rig to put on rather than wearing a seat cushion, which isn’t overly tacticool.
