Talk to me about my Sendra AR15!
First of all Hello--this is my first post.
I just bought an AR15 with a lower made by Sendra Corp, Barrington, IL. On the left side it is marked XM15 E2. It has almost a purple tint to it. It is SN 073XX. It has the plain A1 style pistol grip that is not ribbed in the back. The mag release button does have the raised fence.
The upper is a preban 20" Colt with thin barrel and A1 six-slot flash suppressor. I know it is a Colt upper becuase the letters "C" and M" are just beneath the A1 windage dial. The upper has no foward assist nor shell deflector. The handguards are round and shiny. The barrel is marked "CMP Chrome Bore" near the suppressor.
One peculiar thing is that the selector actually covers up the word "semi" no matter what position the selector is in. Additionally, someone used an alphabet die set to mark "hold on" in the place where auto or burst would normally be on an M16. However, the selector does not actually turn to the "hold on" position.
It is in very good condition and I paid $750 for it. I would like to know more about the reputation and history of this particular model.
