Really eyeing these two pistols lately. My heart desires the TSO..but the Shadow 2 is a bit cheaper and is a fine pistol as well.

Has anybody here owned or shot either of them?

Does CZ offer LEO/MIL pricing on the TSO? I know the Shadow 2 is on their (very generous) price list, but I don't see the TSO on there. I'd call them myself but its Sunday.

All input appreciated!

A friend has that CZ with those swanky 'electric orange' aluminum grips. I held and examined it, but it is not my cup of tea. My friend loves his do much he wants another one just like it in 40 cal. Several guys I know drool over that custom pistol.

Two different pistols for two different divisions. (Single action vs. Double/single) Need to figure out what class you want to compete in first.

I own an older TS. It's a hell of a gun. But if you don't have larger hands. It might be to much for you

I have a friend that has had a TSO on order for a long time, and finally the LGS cancelled his order and said that CZ is not shipping many of these to the U.S. right now, and so they can no longer get them. Be sure to check availability, it might make your decision a bit easier.

I think the TSO looks like an amazing gun, and I would love to own one, but then again, I am an "SAO Guy".

Well, as already pointed out both pistols are built strictly for USPSA/IPSC competition, but fall in different divisions, so you need to ask yourself "What do I need that gun for?". If you are a competition shooter, then THR has a competition sub-forum that I believe will answer specific questions better. If it's just for a range gun, I would choose the CZ 75 TSO just because of the better SA only trigger.

tarosean has it. Both are gamer guns. The Shadow 2 is built for the production division (and to go up against the Tanfo' Stock II, which stole market from the old Shadow). The TS Orange is built for the limited division (and to go up against 2011's and Tanfo' Limiteds).

I don't compete at all, but I've been debating this same thing. I like them both, and need neither.

Like wise I don't compete. I purchased the CZ Shadow 2 and converted it to SAO and installed CGWs flat trigger. I also polished the internals. The SAO trigger is about 2lbs. Sweet!

I'm curious why you did the conversion on the Shadow 2 rather than going for the Tac Sport. Just cheaper to do it your way?

Yes cheaper and I liked the looks and feel of the Shadow 2. The SAO trigger is really sweet.

I was at the range today and its a real plate killer (steel plate rack). Almost hard to miss from 15 yards.
