Anyone have experience with the Taurus 415 41 Mag. I'm looking for a big bore packer for close range protection on the trail. I am a big fan of the 41 Mag. so I'm familiar with the cartridge. While I don't plan to load it hot on a regular basis I'm assuming since there is no such thing as 41 Mag +P that this is built to hand normal 41 Mag pressures. Since it is built on what I understand is the equivalent of the S&W K frame I'm guessing a steady diet of hot loads will be hard on it.

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks weregunner that is helpful. I didn't find those when I searched.

Good morning
When the Taurus .41´s came out I set my eye on one of the 4" Titanium Trackers. Waited till the rush was over and the prices got to the bottom. Have not been dissapointed ! Also got a stainless 2" madel for packing about. With a 240 grainer at 950 FPS you will have a good tool in your pocket.

I'm a huge Taurus fan and think their quality keeps improving. I have a catalog where the American top exec admits he remembers when Taurus guns were not synonymous with quality, and goes on to say they don't outsource any parts. They even make all the gun-making machines inhouse, and that they make parts for other (unnamed) gun manufacturers also.

I would love to have a 415, and I'd buy a selection of .41 Specials for it too. Even though I hear they're effective, those ugly Ribber grips would have to go. But if I had the money, I'd spend the $850 and get a gorgeous blued S&W 58. Mmmm.
