I purchased a Taurus TCP right after they were released with full plans to purchase the 8-round extened magazine when it came out. The advertising of this magazine played a big role in me selecting the TCP over a couple of the other tiny .380's available. Needless to say, it appeared Taurus scrapped plans to make the extended magazine a few months after the release of the TCP.
Well, in the October 2011 issue of the NRA's American Rifleman magazine, there is a full page ad on page 58 advertising the TCP as "Available in 6+1 -- 8+1 with extened magazine..."
Now it would seem weird if they canceled plans to make the 8-round magazine and are now advertising it still a year after they said they weren't going to produce it. Are their new plans to make an extended TCP magazine, or are they still trying to entice customers with false advertising? Anyone heard anything?
