What's up with that, Taurus Trackers doesn't list on their website any .45 acp/.45 Colt caliber revolvers anymore.

They only list .41 magnum, .357 magnum, and .44 magnum.

:what: Matter of fact, couldn't find any .45 caliber revolvers anywhere on their website.

I own a TT in .45 Colt, it is very accurate.

Wish they made them in .44 special, though I know you can shoot them in a .44 magnum. I don't like cleaning the bullet jump in the rifling of 1/10 of inch.

Jim

Well, if Taurus has dropped their .45 acp and .45 Colt Trackers, then I'm holding a bar of gold...heh, heh!

Mine is a beaut in .45 Colt.

Jim :)

The revolvers listed by Marshall are all there but on the detail pages, they are listed as "Discontinued"
thanks

I bought a snubbie in .45 ACP immediately when I found out they had been discontinued. I had been looking for a 445 (which had been long gone by that time), but was not having much success. Only thing I'd like to see now is compact rubber grips for these guns. Wishful thinking given the fact that Tracker models don't seem to be experiencing long manufacturing runs.:uhoh:

Since the .44 magnum is more versatile as far as commercial ammo and reloading possibilities go, the 45s don't stand a chance. It is just what sells more and what the market will bear. .44 specials and 45s seem to be excellent ideas and then the buyers don't do what is expected by ignoring capable cartridges. There is nothing wrong with the 45s. There is a demand. Just not as big as one would suppose. Other gun companies are having the same problem. Either people are not buying do to budget reasons or other cartridges are filling the niche that the 45s would. Look at the cartridge of the week or month club. Smith & Wesson and Ruger alone have brought out new trendy versions. So have other companies. Then there may not be a lot of new buyers who feel they need a 45 wheelguns. After all, wheelguns are "yesterdays news". .44 special revolvers were big for a few decades ago and had quite a following wherever I went. Then, nothing. The gun brokers and sellers seem to have a plethora of 44 special guns to sell and few buyers. Not as many as one would suppose. Remember the .41 magnum. If a .41 special had been manufactured 41s might be more popular then they are. There is a good following now, but the cartridge nearly became extinct a few years back.
