Millenium owners:
I'd like to hear some reccomendations on CCW holsters, aftermarket mags, and anything else that you want to help me out with.

Have a look at Comp-Tac ( http://www.comp-tac.com ). I own 3 of their holsters for my primary carry P229 but my small carry is a PT111. For that one I'll probably pick up a Comp-Tac CTAC very soon. Currently I carry the PT111 in either an Uncle Mike's lookalike or in a Galati fannypack with a velcro rip back.

I own one each of the Shirt Tucker, Undercover (now discontinued) and CTAC. Mu favorite by far is the CTAC for carry with a tucked shirt. The Undercover is what I use if I have a jacket or heavy pullover.

Our fellow HighRoader, PCRCCW also makes very, very good holsters.
Since he makes them for Kahrs and Makarovs maybe we could prevail on him to try his hand with the Taurus.

As far as mags, Taurus contracts the OEM to Mec-Gar. Stick with those, please. You'll be better served with those than any other.

Rabbit.

I carry a PT-111 daily. I use a custom hip pack most of the time (work) and use a Bianchi 105 Minimilist (sp) for most other times. I prefer the bianchi because it also fits my Beretta 92 perfectly and my Springer 1911 fairly well.
I have a Fobus for the PT-111 but rarely use it. It sticks out to far and prints unless I wear a really loose shirt or jacket. The Bianchi fits nice and snug, just the way I prefer it.
As far as mags go, I have'nt found any after market mags. The Mec-Gars work very well, but are pricey. I would also suggest getting the grip extension on your mags and add a Houge slip-on grip with the finger grooves.
I have worked on my PT-111 qiute a bit and have the trigger pull to where it is nice and smooth and also milled the mag release so it won't release when I don't want it to.
E-mail me if you want some detailed info.

I didn't seem to have any mag release problems on the test shoot, the mag won't just drop out when release, which I prefer. I guess for combat reloads and mag retention it makes sense though.
As for the trigger, Its pretty long pull, but I've been shooting DA revolvers so long that I'm used to it. A crisper trigger would be nice....what'dya do to it?

Also, I didn't have a single FTF or Malfunction using cheap FMJ ammo....anyone shot JHP through thiers? Results?

I agree on the Fobus for PT111's. They hang way out there. It's almost as if it is on a pylon mount.

Yes, do share your trigger secrets. I smoothed mine up by polishing the firing pin tunnel lightly with emory cloth and smoothing up the surface of the firing pin. It made it immediately better and it has improved further with firing, both live and dry firing.

By that I mean it feels less like you're trying to drag the wheelless dead hulk of a Chrysler Imperial down a gravel road with a one foot long piece of log chain looped over your fingertip. The Millennium Pro is several orders of magnitude better than the standard Millenium. I want to take a Pro apart some day and see what's so different.

I've fired some JHP's through my PT111 and it digested them fine. IIRC they were Remingtons.

Rabbit.

For holster selection, I am pretty sure that holsters designed for the Glock 26 fit it well. My first holster WAS designed for the Glock 26 and fits my PT-111 perfectly. ( - just to give you more choices)

I use an Uncle Mike's horizontal shoulder rig. (I am trying to get something leather though.) I sometimes use a DeSantis Nemesis. (For me, the PT-111 is a little big and heavy for pocket carry though.)

Speer HPs didn't seem to feed as well as Winchester PP HPs for whatever reason. Once at the range, a Speer hit the feed ramp, stopped, and after around 1/4 second it slipped into the chamber. - that was when the gun was brand new.

I shoot nothing but Winchester 115 PP HP (bought 2 boxes last night) and 115 FMJ in it now. NO problems of any kind.

After around 700-800 rounds the trigger got much better. ;) It really never bothered me anyway.

I also carry a PT111 everyday. Most of the time, it rides in a Blade-Tech IWB holster. I also use an Uncle Mike's pocket holster, for times when I can't use the IWB. I have run close to 1000 rounds through it, half being HP's, with not one single jam.
