The Taurus pres Bob Morris (or is it Morrisey?) was on the radio show Gun Talk today.

He said something that sounded like it could be interesting.

He said something about a .380 ACP handgun with a standard 20-round magazine that Taurus will be showing at the Shot Show this year.

He said that it was already quite popular with South American police, and because of the AWB sunset, would now be imported to the US.

I googled around today, looking for a pic of the wee beastie.

Anyone know anything about which pistola he was talking about? Anybody find any pics of it?

I own a .380 Makarov.

A 20-shot .380 sounds like a hoot.

As long as they're actually going to produce it, rather than just talk about it, I'd like to see it. Don't want wait over a year for a rollout only to have the gun unceremoniously disappear from their website without so much as a comment (as with the Triad). I've been waiting for some time for their .500 to hit the shelves. Still says available 4th quarter on the site (exactly what's it said all of 2005). Is Taurus on some sort of funky calendar here?

Here's the point...

A relatively light-recoiling pistol in a caliber that I already have lots and lots of ammo for that I can do the following with.

bang bang bang bang bang
bang bang bang bang bang
bang bang bang bang bang
bang bang bang bang bang....

breathe.......reload...........repeat.

What's not to like?
