Taurus PT 1911 questions

I've tried 3 or 4 different brands of magazines in mine and they work just fine. I replaced my grips with some that were already cut for the ambi safety. Some grips might have to be slightly modified to fit the ambi safety. The grip screws may be to wide for some replacement grips.

Yes and yes. Like Texastbird said, the grip screws have oversized heads, so you might want some "regular" grip screws (the bushings are perfectly normal, no need to change those). I swapped on some Alumagrips (with the ambi safety cut) without a problem once I obtained normal sized screws.

i know they take standard mags and i see no reason why they wouldn't take standard grips. that is the great thing about the 1911 platform they are so customizable and there are so many options and accessories avalible. they are awesome aren't they!

I bought a set of grips from Esmerelda and they needed some fitting. She cut it for an ambi safety, but they still needed about 1/8 inch of shaving.
I did it with my wife's nail file but it would probably go a lot quicker if you have better tools.

I have two Taurus mags and two of unknown manufacture. I've also swapped mags with a Kimber and SA Mil-Spec. They all seem to work. I bought Hogue grips for the Taurus and they fit with a bit of adjusting. .Nothing serious.
