Hello!
Ive been tryin to find grips for my taurus tracker
but all I seem to find is that one hogue grip from midway.
Does that even fit my .357? (tracker 17 hogue grips)
Is there any other model that has grips that fit tracker?
Wooden grips would be great.

The thing is, Ive been trying to get used to those factory ribber grips
but IMO they are too soft and too small.
Maybe I should just take a good knife and a piece of wood and make my own
(yeah right! Like I could:) )

No don't do that Sgt. I have a tracker with the Hogue grips and they fit perfect. I have said constantly here that for some reason which I have yet to figure out, I shoot this more accurately than any other weapon in my safe. I am not saying I expect less from taurus but my wife spent a great deal on an anniversary present 1911 that I shoot ok 2 1/4 inch groups at 25 yards with the 1911 and 1 1/4 with the taurus 158gr rainiers at that. I know more than likely it is me and not the weapon but this to me supports even more you should do the best you can to test fire before you purchase if at all possible.

Here is a pic of mine sporting the hogue grips hope this helps.

Crazy4...

Sorry to get off topic, but...

How do you like the tracker in 41? What bbl length do ya have?

Sorry, carry on....

I have a tracker 627 with the Houge round butt mono grips shown on Mr.Revolverguy's tracker. Work and feel like a charm. the main reason I got them was that the Ribber grip was too small and I did not like the feel of them.

There is a company in Germany that also makes grips for tracker frames. Do a search for Nil Grips. They look like awesome grips, but they are way spendy.

Here's a tip if you go with the Hogue grips for your Tracker. They fit so tight that I simply did not have the strength to get them on the butt all the way. The guy at the gun shop could get them on - almost - but couldn't get them the last 1/8 inch front and back. He couldn't even get the screw to catch (comes up from the bottom). Then we noticed that the screw that came with them was longer. Changed to that screw, it was long enough to catch, and actually used the head of the screw to pull the grips on the last little bit. We ended up tightening the screw, working the grip up a little, tightening the screw, etc. Yes, we had already lubricated the frame of the butt a little just in case that might help. Love the grips. I have the .357 in 4" barrel and love to shoot it.
BTW, Taurus actually has a set of Tracker grips available on their web site, and they are not ribbers. It looks like they might work also.

I put the Hogue grips on mine and love them, however I just looked at those Nill grips and they look really nice. Not sure if my Taurus is worthy of such grips, but it sure would dress it up!

If you have trouble putting on some rubber Hogues, try warming them up with warm air hair dryer...soften the rubber that it could stretch a bit.

Hogue has some fine wood grips, but some belly ache it hurts their hands if the gun is full house magnum.

I've got the rubber Hogues on my .45 Colt Tracker as well.
