i am wanting to stock up on ammo for a Carbine course in the future, and the local shop has about 100,000rds of PMC Bronze 55gr fmj in stock. any one ever used it? any reviews good or bad would be much appreciated. i have never used this brand in .223 (one of the few).

I've got some. Shoots well. Good range/plinking ammo. Functions fine in my RRA and Armalite ARs. I also shoot PMC bronze 9mm in Glocks. No problems.

It works well for me. The brass is good, and reloads well. It's pretty close in performance to M193 ball, but there's no crimp in the primer pocket to deal with when reloading. In my experience it's not quite as clean as Federal XM193 or WWB 55 grain FMJ, but it's much cleaner than Wolf.

Possum;

I've used it, & will try to avoid it in the future. It is quite possibly the dirtiest factory ammo I have ever used.

Ran 100 rounds through my Colt without a hitch, didn't seem any dirtier than REM-UMC 55 gr.

I'd say it's as good as UMC Winchester white box or American Eagle.

I use this PMC Bronze for plinking ammo in my SU-16, it has run without issue. I also have not noticed it being any more dirty than the 5.56 Winchester or Armscor I run.

when it used to be 6.99 a box, it was probably the best plinking ammo out there for the money-for-quality. Now it costs almost as much as UMC ammo.
