My everyday companion is an el cheapo from Wal Mart that's probably 4 years old by now. Might have been branded as their "Ozark Trails" brand

I have a similar knife from the same Ozark line. I used it on an assembly line where knives were not allowed by company policy. I carried it anyway to cut cable ties for parts and what not. $10 so if it got confiscated by a higher supervisor, I could get another to keep working my job. Most of us in my area carried knives. Our closest supervisor would tap us on the shoulder to stuff them down in our pocket if someone higher came around.

Benchmade Boost clipped to the inside of my right front pants pocket.
Weatherman in my left pocket.

It's not as pretty after lots of mileage, as it was in this picture.

My truck even has its own "everyday carry" knife that rides in the small overhead storage bin. Was just keeping a small folder up there but recently got a new Kershaw that features a seat belt cutter and a carbide glass breaker tip on the butt end in addition to the 3.5" blade. Figured that would be a better thing to have within reach in case of an accident where a seat belt may have to be cut or a window needs breaking. Got it for about 25 bucks from Natchez Shooters Supply ( NatchezSS.com) along with some other stuff and now I see they are on sale for 20 bucks........Oh well. Haven't done anything with it yet but it seems pretty nice for something I hope I don't need. It's like a fire extinguisher.... Glad it's there but hope it's never needed. 1. KA-BAR Dozier Design folder model # 4062. A $20.00 knife that is a true bargain. AUS 8 steel is nothing special but works fine. The zytel handle with no liner results in a knife that is very very lightweight. Blade pivot has adjustable tension to set open/close effort any way you like it. The lockback is 100% solid and there is no blade play in any direction. Thumb stud and clip are both reversible. It's maybe my favorite EDC summertime knife when wearing shorts. Today it's in the tool pocket on my bibs where the lightweight and deep carry are both a plus. Not USA made but few $20 knives are. Actually none that I know of today.

I do consider the Sebenza to be the "Rolls Royce" of folders, but there are now a lot of great knives that come very close to the CR knives at 3/4 or 1/2 (or even a few at $120/$400) the price. I carry a WE made, Ferrum Forge designed "Gent" from Drop more than I carry my Sebenza (M-Th).

I've looked and looked. I lean towards large Inkosi with Insingo blade. No inlays. That blade intrigues me. How do you rate the lock compared to Axis?

I added a choil for grip preference and swapped out all the old hardware, scale screws, spacers, LBS, etc... with titanium. I had a Ti deep carry clip on it but I actually really like the stock clip on these. This is one of the best ZT's made imo.

I'm pretty sure they discontinued em, could be wrong about that. ZT discontinued a few good ones. Some of the newer stuff they put out is just awful......

Ever so slightly higher hollow regrind and high polish on the S35VN blade(surgical sharp and holds an edge forever), Swedge, Anodizing, custom pocket clip, etc... Got about $800 into this one....
