Tim Gray (weshoot2) and the folks over at Green Mountain Practical Shooters held an IPSC 'new shooters clinic' and match this last Saturday and Sunday. Tim invited me and a few friends from Maine to come on over and we had a blast!

A great bunch of people with a great range to shoot at in some really beautiful country. We made some new friends, shot a LOT of ammo off and got bit by the IPSC bug in a major way.

As I sit here I understand what a crack addict must feel like wondering were the next fix is going to come from. :D

I'll get some pictures up soon, but I just wanted to say thanks to Tim and everyone at GMPS for putting on a great weekend. We can't wait to do it again.

ditto.. despite a miserable head cold I loaded up and drove over for the new shooters clinic on Saturday.. Well worth the 2 1/2 hour drive.

I'd been dying for a chance to try out my KP89, I definately got a chance to give it a good workout, and learn quite a bit about how competitive shooting works.. Definately worth the trip!

I wish I could have made the return trip Sunday for the match but didn't have it in me.. I'm certainly going to do my best to get to the next match though!

Thanks to all the GMPS guys for putting it on, great introduction for all us newbie's :D

Here are a few photos from the two days:

And here is a link to a video of me shooting Stage 2 (Mini Mart), a short little speed shoot. The gun and reload had to be in the shelf in front there. You'll see me brain fart and go to my belt for the reload first before I realized it was in the shelf :)

I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT

Glad folks had fun.
Glad all were safe.
Glad to have you back.
Shooting good. Club good.

Results not so good :banghead:
I'll have to try again.

Unfortunately, I can't make it to AWARE. A major bummer.
