Today was my birthday, and has been a good one. This summer I bought my revolver for my wife to give me, S&W30-1 3" 99%+. It sat around waiting for some attention until today. Along with that came 32swl reloading dies, a holster (3" is hard to find) and a crisp new $100 with a post-it saying "trade me for reloading supplies"...which I did. I went to a new shop and found 2 pounds of bullseye, bulk 22lr, and a handful of plastic ammo boxes fit for 9mm and smaller. As an added suprise at dinner there were a few extra chairs at the table, and in walked my second cousin and her husband followed by my great uncle who I love dearly and rarely see. So in conversation he asks what all I got and I run through the list excitedly, and he says he thinks he once had a 30-1 and would know if he saw one...well he saw one pretty quickly and he confirmed and started telling sties from the 30s and 40s of using it on sausage days, coon hunting, and once hitting a dog that was chasing him uphill while on a bicycle. The day truly could not have been better, and I scored some goodies. Now I have a few bits to order and a bulk order for MBC to make. Can't wait to get all my goodies into a little action.
