The country must be flooded with guns

I have been buying and selling guns for 47 years. The last 20+ years I've rented tables at local gun shows to buy and sell. Even after all these years I can't predict what will sell and what won't. The gun market fluctuates constantly. After a trip to my LGS recently I can say there is no shortage on guns for sale. Prices are reflecting this because the used prices are down. I'll clarify, not so much what the LGS is selling them for but what they're paying for used guns.

The market must be awash with an awful lot of guns at this time. The reason I say this, I have a gun listed on this site and on Guns International.
It's brand new, original box and paperwork, four high capacity magazines and a brand new left hand leather iwb holster....

Unfortunately, the prospective buyer figures this gun has the wrong-handed curse. Every gun I've bought from a lefty has had issues. 😆

There's quite a few out there. Of course I've been waiting on a rifle now going on 4 months. A issue with the distributor and his love for the big box compared to my LGS, but that's another matter.
There's alot of factors that have already been mentioned that play into the gun market today.
The time I like to look for guns, especially ones that people find desirable, is right after Christmas. Less people to get into a dogfight in an auction, visiting the local shop, etc. due to Santa rolling thru town. Your in the right place right time, you'll find a gem for a fair shake. Goes the same with selling. I lost a couple recently from a little chat with my LGS. I made mention of a couple things I thought I'd like to part with, next thing ya know I get a couple calls from him and they've turned into a few things I wanted for my collection. He made a couple bux, I had to buy another safe just for handguns, everyone's happy.
I've seen things sit on the broker and the like for a few weeks, then all of a sudden, bam! Either somebody, or several somebody's decide they need it. Right place and time. It won't cost ya nothing to just wait it out

I keep saying I'm going to stop or at least cut way back on buying guns and anything related to guns. I said it this year, last year and the year before. And I will, maybe next year.

For the last couple years wife has been saying "You buy too much ammo, You buy too much ammo. Every time you leave the house you come back with a bag of ammo. You buy too much ammo".
So, I have not come home
with a bag of ammo this year.
Now I buy in bulk online.

My wife sees me on the internet looking at guns. She says ( oh, no. You have two cabinets full of guns now. You don't need another.) I said, no I need no more. " But, I would like to build a ar 15. I've never built a gun before. Give me something to do". She said (will it cost less to build your own?) I said "well, I don't have to pay someone to put it together for me". She said ( well why don't you do that?) So, I did. But, I didn't tell her I could have bought a brand new ar 15 complete for $200 less.

My wife says ( you buy too much ammo, every time you leave the house you come back with a bag of ammo, you buy too much ammo).
So, I say " I can start reloading my own ammo."
She says ( can you save money?) I say " Well, I don't have to pay others to load it for me. I just have to buy components and put it together myself". (Great, do it.)
I didn't tell her that after buying all the equipment and components that the first 100 rounds only cost me $200 per 50 rounds.
