First, before anything else, call, write, email, send carrier pigeons, whatever to the white house and your congress critters showing your support fo rthe 2A and your RKBA.

I have just seen two headlines that:

1. The White House is in talks with Jow Manchin and the Republicans about a gun legislation package

2. The DOJ sent a gun legislation package to the White House

It's not clear if it's the same package but we can assume it is

A commentator pointed out a surprisingly reasonable fact that

The problem is that politicians want to make this a federal issue when the solution is really a local issue. That is, the key to solving the problems are actions on a local / community level and not more federal laws.

I found that to be a great insight !!!!

And watching this discussion suprises me as to just how clueless most people are to the facts in the discussion.

One good point is two of the five commentators actually know what they are speaking about. Another one knows but won't admit the facts and the other two are completely clueless.

The clueless ones are trying to drive a compromise, to the effect that well,

If RFLs will stop some mass shootings and
If UBCs will stop some more mass shootings and
if AWBs will stop some more mass shootings and

Well, why don't we put "all of these little changes into a package" and pass it ...

Again, make sure our voices are heard and heard right now please !

Have any links?
Only DOJ so-called gun legislation I have read about in the past few weeks is the desire to speed up executions for mass shooters convicted of a federal hate crime. (I say good luck with that one.)

I think I will close this one. Frank has an operating principle that we don't speculate, we wait for the actual proposal. We have enough threads going on various issues.

If we get one, we will discuss it.
