The Hunting Rifle Picture Thread

Ruger Ultralight 257 Roberts with Leupold VX1 3-9x40 glass. It's the perfect woods and climbing stand rifle. With a 115 grain Partition and the high point shoulder shot it anchors them.

Here it is with several of its siblings. A Ruger 30-06 UL and a Savage LWH 223, Both wearing VX2 3-9x40 scopes.

So this rifle has undergone surgery since my 2013 posting (page 1)
swapped out the barrel for a 7.65x53 Mauser barrel, from a 1909 Argentine Cavalry Carbine,
and swapped out the Pentax scope for a Weaver 2-10 x 38, now it shoots 3/4" @ 100 and 2-1/2" @ 200,
sadly no venison this season, saw plenty of deer but nothing legal (3 pts or better area) eating "deer tag soup" lol

That is a Boyds camo laminate. They make some very nice stocks!
sorry I meant what model? I'm in the market for a boyds just torn which one to get. its going on a savage 223 heavy barrel. just want something better and be used for bench shooting and varmint hunting. I don't much care for the style of the pro varmint but yours looks like it fits nice

This is my tikka T3 lite 308 and I killed a buck with it this year.
