Well, at the request of several shooters who discovered the substance down at Midland at the NBRSA Nationals last year, I'm gonna be schleppin' a couple of cases of the magic elixir known as Shiner Bock to the Supershoot, where it will be savored following some days of tough competition. It will doubtlessly possess the capability of both shrinking and enlarging group size, at least as (dis)remembered by the participating shooters. Also along for the ride is a traveling humidor and an unopened bottle of Knob Creek.

This time tomorrow, I'll be set up, and working on the proper load for the conditions at Kelbly's range (which will of course change completely immediately before Match 1 of Day 1). Taking a whole week off from work. Gonna shoot while it's light, and talk shootin' with friends while it's dark. Life is good.

(oh, and while purchasing the stuff at my local supermarket (happy, happy, joy, joy...), I scored a 3' high blowup Shiner Bock bottle, which is now proudly a part of the decor in Bogie's Bunker).

Y'all can get Shiner in Missouri? Wow, i didn't know it was shipped that far. The brewery is like 10 miles from my grandparents house. It's good stuff, and a whole lot better than Lone Star. Have fun on the shoot, and congrats on the 3' bottle :)

I used to work with a grad student from UT (Austin) that was a Shiner Bock fan. He got all excited when he found out that some of the Publix stores in the Atlanta area were carrying it. Personally, I'll keep drinking Guinness.

UMMMM-SHINER BOCK

Shiner Bock is THE PREFERED BEER of the crowd I run around with, namely the SEMINOLE GUNWORKS guys and BERETTA USA guys, while @ the NSCA SPORTINGCLAYS National Championships every year in San Antonio.

When the BERETTA goes in the case for the day, the SHINER comes out of the cooler:)
