It is a real pleasure when us like minded folks meet in here or in the real world and find the kinship that we share. I asked if the old 22CB Caps could still be bought in here the other day because I collect ammunition and was wanting that one. Gumby0961 (Jim) responded that he could send me one and as a matter of fact he saw several I didn’t have and sent me several in the mail, no charge, and I can’t thank him enough. That is a really nice thing he did. He is no doubt a fellow American Countryman and this aspect of our shared heritage of firearms that we are born into in this country that is alive, well and thriving assures me that my kids and their kids, and so on, will still be enjoying this thing of ours well into the future!
Thank you Jim...

Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad you like them.

I've been the beneficiary of several acts of benevolence from various online gun people. I've found both this forum and the weaponsguild forum folks are very generous and helping. It's usually a pain for me to "pass it on" online, but I do try to help folks out locally in that way.

Anyway, thanks a bunch guys, I really appreciate the knowledge, experience, tools, tips, and even the stuff that you folks have passed along to me. I know others also benefited as well.

Many of us Evergreen State members have met (we have an annual Shoot'n'Hoot in Central WA courtesy of member PolishRifleman) and I can honestly state that every member of THR and most other fun forums I've met and associated with in person are intelligent, honorable guys with whom I enjoy spending time.

Yup there are many fine people on here,

It would be nice to have a thread where guys from each state of country could meet up. I have met with a few members here and had a great Time and hope to see them again.

Good on you jim .
And roamin -wade you should make a list of the other cartridges you need.

Using the Cartridges of the World book like an inventory to use for cartridges I have and don’t have, there are about 1300 I need. I have well over two hundred different cartridges. It will be an easier way to list the ones I have as opposed to what I don’t have.

One of my favorite pastimes growing up was to look through and read the cartridges of the world book. And wildcat cartridges vol 1 and 2.

I agree with the OP. Good folks here.

Troy, there is a Rallying Point forum here, but it doesn't get much traffic. Years ago, a bunch of us coordinated a meet at a club in Portage, PA that I still remember fondly.

Speaking of the "Rallying Point" -- Any of y'all who live in, or can get up to, the PNW in June around Father's Day weekend, we welcome THR members to the annual Shoot'n'Hoot. Look for Polishrifleman's invite in the Rallying Point forum later this spring.

Some fine gentlemen attend (ladies are welcome, of course); there's bonding and brotherhood around a big fire, good cigars, better bourbon, tons of funny stories, and during the day, lots and lots of shootin' …

We've had farmers, lawyers, realtors, teachers, cops, military guys, chefs, bartenders, business owners, commercial fishermen, truck drivers, combine operators, school-bus drivers, electricians, Boeing workers, students, folks that work in retail, sales-people, an actress/singer, librarians, you name it -- and guess what?: everyone has always gotten along splendidly. Folks in the "gun culture" (as the liberal media has labeled us) seem to tend to be, for the most part, honest, hard-working, patriotic, genuine Americans.

I know one of you guys tied a string on a Junebug’s leg and made him fly around in circles. I wouldn’t want to meet that fellow in a dark alley.
