The tale of one Ruger MKIV

I bought this on a whim. Installed a Volquartsen hammer, trigger and sear kit in it. Amazingly accurate. Then I started seeing uppers on Internet…new, unfired uppers at very nominal prices. This is what I ended up with. Wonder if I called Ruger and told them the lowers for my three spare uppers were lost in a yachting accident if they would sell me three additional lower units?

Have you tried searching online for lowers? They are not considered the serialized frame so they can be bought and sold anywhere without a FFL.

I sorta did the same with mine:

Started with the 10” Bull Barrel, then added a 5.5” Bull with open sights and a second 5.5” Bull with a dot.


The Volquartsen innards sure do improve the trigger!
