Finally got around to watching this movie this weekend. I thought it had a very good story and there were some very cool firearm choices by the movie's armorer.

I also appreciated the realistic hits on vests, running out of ammo, and the fact that both side's shooters had way more misses than hits. To me the mark of a good, realistic action movie is one that has 200-300 wall/set mounted squibs to every body-mounted squib. :)

Some great shotgun work by the cops, too.

I honestly had to look up a lot of the sub-machine guns on IMDB.com to identify them.

One of my favorite rigs is the SIG 551 and I was stoked when i saw that one of the robbers carries one in the first scene. Pretty cool HK carbine in that scene, too.

I think it rivals Heat in terms of weapon realism. One thing I was particularly appreciative of in Heat was that after an exchange of automatic weapons fire inside a building, no one could hear a dang thing :neener:

Awesome movie with great action. It was written and directed by Ben Affleck.. All this time I thought he was a slacker in the writing of
good will hunting but turns out the guy has a real talent.
