Sitting here and decided to think of things we could do rather than sit in front of a screen all day.

So far I've come up with:

Do a little hand loading, eventually we'll start hitting the commercial ranges again and it's always good to have a surplus on hand.

Get into a little gun cleaning, including taking out guns we haven't used in a while. Check them out, handle them, remember why we bought them, and give them a good wipe down with rust preventative.

Start doing a little target shooting in the basement or a long hallway with pellet guns. All you need is a box filled with old magazines, newspapers, or catalogs and you've got a backstop. Since you're all home, maybe it's time to give the kids some lessons.

If you haven't done so, make a list of your guns with make, model, serial numbers, and value. If you get hit by a car or another catastrophe befalls you, your heirs will have some idea if and when it comes time to dispose of them.

Do a little dry firing of your non rimfires to potentially improve your abilities.

So, what a ya' got?

In inventorying my ammo right now, did half this morning gonna finish soon. I don't have a crap ton so it doesn't take long.

I already have a list of my firearms and values for my wife in case of a potential untimely demise for me, otherwise I'd be doing that too. I'd like to clean everything too, but with my wife and son home I'm spending the time with them because that's more important than cleaning the boomsticks.

Good advise all. Let’s see now, it’s 15 25 here in the eastern time zone, I’ve been sitting on my kester since around 1000 with my cell phone tapping the “new post” on THR. I did make the bride and I lunch at 1300 and I’ll have to start thinking about supper around 1700. By 1900 it will be YouTube time and by 2330 it’ll be bed time. Tomorrow I’ll get to the outside chores, maybe. ;)

I need to re headspace my 1894SS.

Keep going on my 444 project which has and will involve barrel shortening and recrowning and drill and tap for front sight. Through bolt stock modification. Recontouring the pistol grip. Shorten stock and add a recoil pad. Thin up the fore end and stock as well as hollow the stock some to lighten it up. Slick up the action. Stone the sear surfaces. Dehorn lever and loading opening. Reduce loading spring pressure.

Clean and slick up my Ruger MK II.

Oh yeah also on the honeydo list is finish my laundry room cabinet, wall mount the TV and make a built in wall mount cabinet under that for our TV related peripherals. Start kitchen demo and renovation and on and on and on...

Not yet under quarantine but did get a pound of imr target a handful of Remington small pistol primers a some 125 grain Berry's plated hps for something to do if we do. I just need to clean the pile of Winchester .38 special shells I have.

(Yeah I know it's a random collection but it was also the only stuff left on the shelf)

I've got a school work to deal with. But I have managed to load some ammunition and have done some dry firing. I downloaded a book for school so I can listen while I prep some brass. I've been surfing the gun porn sites some too. I'll be lucky to make it through this without another rifle.

I feel about honeydo projects like Maynard G. Krebbs used to feel about work.

Ladies, there's no need to constantly remind us about a project, we haven't forgotten about it, and seriously, it's only been two years since you first mentioned it.

Let's try to keep this gun related, the others are too painful. lol

Mmm. Top of my list is the possibility of Trump returning up to $2k to every working American the filthy IRS stole it from. Musing over the best way to blow $1k of it- GP100 or Colt Gov't. Second of the list is yard work. I think I'll take a while on "Task No. 1", heh.

What revolver
Exercise should come first.
I'm going to make a hand for a revolver. Factory was mild steel. I'm going to use a grade 8 bolt and slowly file it to shape. It should take about 2 weeks.[/QUOTE

I'll do some housekeeping in the gun room. I've slowly been going through my brass stash trying to get it all sorted, deprimed and tumbled. I've moved and repackaged about half of my lead stash. I went through the two shelves in my gun safe, sorting and reorganizing. I've upgraded my gun list. I've gone through my bullet molds, oiling them and compiling a master list.

Other projects not involving shooting or reloading;
I empty my pockets every night and put the coins in a jug. I'm part way thru counting and rolling last years collection.
I have a neighborhood kid coming over, probably tomorrow, to help me do some straightening up in the shop. And maybe move a little more lead!

I'm trying to stay busy.

Lots of reloading and lots of dry fire.

I've got an unknown quantity of 9mm, but have another 400 bullets to load.

I also have a lot of 10mm bullets that need to get jammed in some brass, not to mention some solid copper ones I am planning to work up loads for.

I live in the woods, so I can go shoot alone. In fact that's how I do most of my shooting.

This. I live on the west side of our ancestral farm so I can either shoot in my backyard range or wander the farm and do some shooting. Life is good! :)

In the past week I finally got around to assembling the slowly-accumulated parts into an AR Pistol. Today I completed my initial ladder handloads of 130gr Speer over Lil'Gun. I azimuth-aligned the RDS so that my initial sighting exercise (perhaps tomorrow) should proceed smoothly. Uh oh, hope I didn't just doom myself. ;)
