Thoughts on Single-Action Revolvers...

Well IF you want to put something in your safe that is guaranteed to go up in value at a pleaseing rate; the Colt SAA 2nd generations can be bought in excellent used condition for $1000. I guarantee if you don't reduce the value by damaging it , that value will double in 10 years. Don't think any other gun will do that. The Freedom arms guns are great and seem to HOLD their value pretty well. I don't think current Rugers wil GO UP! Ah but unless alot of those guns you have are vintage collectables you know that there are more things to life than money! But it takes the $ to buy more guns, and your heirs will thank you if you buy the REAL THING. AND there just might be a reason the real thing increases in value, just a hint!:D

I've been shooting (poorly) for way over 40 years. I have 9s, 45ACP, 38, 357, 22WMR, 22LR, and of course a few shotguns & 22 rifles. Most of my shooting has been with DA revolvers, then semi auto 9s, and 1911s. For the past few years I have become enamored with SA revolvers. Picked up an old Ruger Blackhawk 357, 9mm, then found a deal on a Single Six 22wmr, also have a Heritage 22LR mostly shot by 12 year old grandson. When I can I look for older guns such as the 3 screw single six I purchased for 300.00. I am now thinking very hard about finding a SA 45 LC. Maybe in my more mature (old age) years I am thinking back to the great cowboy show I watched in the 50's? Dunno but it's fun and all of the ones I have are better shooters than I.
Just sayin
