So, Monday evening I ordered 500 of the Bullseye #2 185 grain semi wadcutters. Tuesday morning I had an e mail saying they had shipped and they were in my PO box Thursday afternoon. From Missouri to Northern Arizona in record time, FAST shipping! The outer shipping box looked good, a couple minor dings but nothing out of the ordinary for the post office. The interior was great, all bullets and packaging present and accounted for =-) The bullets themselves look good as well, can't wait to get reloading them!
So fast shipping, great prices and great bullets, what more to ask for? LOL
Thank you Brad, I will definately be ordering from you again in the future! (especially since I forgot to order a sample packet of the Cowboy#8 bullets LOL)

"Brad do you ever cast 32ACP bullets in .311 dia, 71 gr?"

I would also be interested in a 71 gr 32 acp bullet.
I'm really pleased with all of the products I've purchased from you guys. I really like the 200 gr semi wad cutter for my SA champion and the 124 gr 9mm "small ball" are great too. Thanks for a great product and great service.

So when is the price increase???

Shoot, I need more. Ordered my first batch not long ago and already used up at least 500, probably more, they work very well.

Trying to use the "HighRoad5" promo code and the website tells me that it's not found. Is this still good for a 5% discount?

So when is the price increase???

Only Brad knows ... he said WHEN his current supply of lead alloy stock is gone ... so, buy all you can before he has to buy replacement lead alloy stock at current market price and has to raise the price! :D Heck, I may buy more to stock up - hope Brad will be kind enough to give us the heads up for a last chance stocking up for THR.

THR discount code was changed.

Actually, the contracted alloy bought last year is indeed all gone and we're halfway through a new truckload of the hard alloy that cost us $.32/lb. more. The economics of it is that every ten cents of alloy cost represents $2.50 of cost per thousand 200 grain bullets with the result that this $.32 price increase is costing us about $8.00 per thousand bullets. The next truckload is ordered and will be delivered in about ten days and will also be at the higher price and we have to respond to the situation.

So because we haven't raised our prices yet and have been absorbing that impact, we're taking it in the shorts.

There will be a general price increase later in the week. I will announce this in another thread later today or tomorrow so that everyone gets the scoop.

Brad

ps - it's not going to be too bad. I'm looking at $2.50 more per box for bullets weighing under 200 grains and $3.00 for those at 200 grains and up. I know that this increase doesn't cover the additional cost, but I am trying to tune some other things in the cost equation to bring it to a wash for us, like attritioning-out a full-time day caster position.

When the cost of raw materials goes up (in this case lead) it affects everyone that uses that material. It's a safe bet that if Missouri bullets go up, the same will be true of other suppliers.

The real issue is quality product and good service. That won't change.

We were so tired by the time we got to your post office yesterday that we had a hard time finding your PO Box :)

LOL you should work for the post office than =-) I've had packages from Flagstaff take longer to get here, and thats less than 100 miles from me.

And, since no review is complete without pictures, I've included 2. Their both low quality (especially the bullet pic) but thats what you get taking a picture with something that should be used for phone calls. The bullseye #2 reloaded very nice, all uniform and consistant, good quality too! Now, if my shooting was just better. In my defense this was just 10 rounds to test functionality with the test powder charge. Towards the end when I started getting serious the group started to tighten up =-) Can't wait to reload more and see what kind of accuracy I can get =-)
Again, thanks Brad and Missouri Bullet Company!

See, I told you he would come to his senses ... but he did warn us with plenty of lead time (ha ha, I meant lead time). :D

 All gone already? Oh my, you HAVE been busy!!!

You are a better man than I - now I feel guilty about my 10K bullet orders. To make it up, I will place my next order without using the THR discount code. ;)

You are not the only bullet casting business that must either absorb the higher raw material prices or increase the product prices. We have seen the bullet prices steadily climb in recent years and reloaders have made adjustments too (many of us are shooting less jacketed/plated bullets and more lead bullets).

I had a MBC "sample" test shoot at the range yesterday with a couple of reloaders who reload primarily jacketed and plated bullets and they were surprised at the tight headshot and double tap groups - they are now rethinking about shooting lead bullets. :D After the shoot, I told them these were just my test loads and not even my final accurate loads - they were floored. I told them I have not gotten leading in my LW barrels with MBC bullets and we checked the barrels of G22/G27 after the shoot and no leading, just the normal fouling.

Since they were both Glock shooters, I told them 2000-3000 reload savings shooting lead will pay for the Lone Wolf barrel for carefree lead bullet shooting - I think you will have two more customers for your bullets.

Also for those who have lead sliver problem while seating the bullet, I have had zero lead slivers while seating 500 MBC bullets. I got curious and even tried to tilt some of the bullets and still no lead sliver! BTW, these were 9mm 18 BHN 125 small ball using very slight flaring of the case neck. Not sure if I am the only one, but If this trend continues, I am sure gonna like these bullets even more!

But we had the contract price and that's part of why we haven't had a price increase (or decrease) since January of 2008. Gotta love that contract price!
So no more contract?

Brad, idahoglock36 posted on the crazy tax day thread this:

Thanks again....and really we don't need our bullets as fast as you think we need them!

Some of us have plenty of bullets on hand and new MBC orders are for additional stock (I have about 25K jacketed/plated/lead bullets now).

If you want to add different delivery time options, it probably won't be an issue for those that don't need your bullets right away:

Option 1 - Normal (As fast as MBC can process and ship out)
Option 2 - No rush (Maybe within several days) or by Friday afternoon
Option 3 - Take your time (When you get to it after processing/shipping #1 and #2 orders - maybe one to two weeks)

This way, you can better focus your efforts for those customers out of bullets and need them ASAP. Heck, I work during the week and can't even get to reloading until Friday night or Saturday, so If the bullets arrive by Friday afternoon, I am good. Also, this may allow you and your staff some much needed break/rest or more flexible work schedules ... I think many on THR will gladly choose Option 3 to help you out for what you are doing for us "High Roadies" :D

Thats a lot for me to quote up there but I wanted to get it all, as I wholeheartedly agree. I'm in almost the exact same boat as BDS. I just got 500 bullets and don;t reload that much in 2 monthes (though that number will be going up as I get my reloading precoees refined and shoot more=-) BUT, I'm still thinking of ordering 500 more of the Cowboy 180 grainers before the price increase just cause I know I'm gonna want 'em eventually. And, like BDS I don't reload until the weekend. If it would be at the price it is NOW before the increase I'd gladly choose "option #3".
Just my "vote" LOL

Mike

Another fast shipment

Got my shipped confirmation on Friday afternoon and received the shipment this afternoon - all 3 USPS boxes (IDP #1, #4, #5, SB) arrived together without any damage. Thanks again Brad and keep up the great work!

Now, I gotta get busy and get loading - I am off this week and wife and her friends want to go shooting. :D

.44M/300gr; let's hope it catches on!

I'm in for 2,000 @ 300gr. to start my show. @ Option #3.

Hey guys, it's been just "several days" not weeks. :)

If you ordered during the Thanksgiving holiday week/weekend and orders weren't processed yet, maybe Brad gave his employees some much needed time off ... at the break-neck speed Brad and Jo Ann have been going, they probably deserved some much needed time off themselves.
