I ordered on Friday evening. I got a shipment notice on Saturday, and they arrived in NC on Monday. I'm impressed. Bullets look great and box arrived in great shape.

I understand the varying hardnesses, and that is what prompted the question. I understand that softer lead is better at lower velocities, but I was hoping for absolute numbers. I want to load the bullets in a velocity range to minimize leading.

I don't know how much it will help you, but I load their brinell hardness 12 158 grain .358 bullets in .38 Special in the 850-900fps range (checked with a Chronograph) and I get almost zero leading. One or two passes with a brush, a couple of patches, and the bore is pristine. Easier to clean than when I shoot jacketed bullets for sure.

Thanks, Landric, that is the kind of info I am looking for. I ordered 500 of those 158's and 500 of the softer 148's to try. They should be delivered today or tomorrow.

I will then be in the inverse position of many here in that I will have primers, brass, powder and bullets, but my press and other equipment is still on back order.

Excellent service! I ordered 2.5K on Sat and they arrived yesterday (Monday). Yea, thats right ordered Sat, Sunday was Easter, bullets sitting on the front porch Monday afternoon. Thats from Missouri to Texas
Customer for life!

I ordered on Sat as well. I should have my 1k today or tomorrow. I am looking forward to trying them and I hope they work well because their prices are pretty good.

Just a quick comment on Missouri Bullets (MB) Service:

I placed a small order with another well know bullet caster just to have an alternate source and to check out the product qualtiy and service. That order was placed nearly 3 weeks ago. They did indicate around a 2 week delivery, and I was OK with that.

Brad at Missouri Bullet has spoiled me. If I orderd from MB on Monday, I had a complete order at my doorstep on Wesdnesday, intact. Whoa !!

I think MB sets the standard on service, price, and quality. Good job Brad.

I ordered Saturday, and the shipped Tuesday. I got them last night. I only opened one box, but they look good so far.

Ordered Tuesday got Friday in California. Not bad.... I'm liking this stuff. I find out tomorrow if it shoots. in my XD45. I ordered the 200gn RNFP. I did sent them an Email to add to my order a sample pack and they either didn't receive my email or had already shipped my product. Either way I didn't get the sample pack.

Missouri Bullets

Everyone seems happy with the shipping from Missouri Bullets, I'd also like to add that they shoot great. I've shot their 200 gr. .45 acp, 180 gr .40 cal, .125 gr 9mm and 158 gr 38 cal, all with excellent results. I have some of their "pin buster" .45 acp and Whitetail 30/30 bullets and am expecting the same great rusults with them as well.

Anyone help a poor man out.

:confused:well I went out and shot my 200grain RNFP from Missiouri Bullets today.... They would not cycle. I know this is the bullet they recomend for shooting IDPA in an XD45. I seated the bullet at the crimp ring and this gave me an OAL of 1.195 - 1.20" hornaday book says 1.19 min. OAL. I ran 4.9 grains of Unique. Here is what it did. 80% FTL 50% FTE (stovepipe) 100% would not take the gun to slidelock. The loads felt real weak. less recoil than a 9mm factory ammo. Well so back to the drawing board. I wish I could find someone shooting this 200gn. RNFP lead bullet in an XD that could help me with my load. Traveling 45min to find out I screwed up sucks. Can anyone help me get a little closer to the bullseye.

I shot my first run of the brinell hardness 12 158 grain .358 bullets in .38 sp 4 g Unique and also had virtually no leading. I am very pleased. Ordered another 1,500.

I'd like to place an order...

But I'm concerned about leading using the 165gr .30-30 bullets listed.

I normally run gas checks in my cast bullet rifle loads, and although 18 Brinell hardness is nice, I'm curious how fast customers have run those through the average Winchester 94/Marlin 336. I suppose at that good a price, I could also just re-size them with Hornady crimp-on gas checks...

I use Missouri Bullet 200 grain RNFP in my .45's (no XDs, but I expect it wouldn't make a difference). I'm using Titegroup and HS-6 in .45ACP (planning on trying some Trail Boss too) and I have had great results. The starting load for Titegroup with a 200 grain cast is 4.8 grains according to their website. I loaded some with 5.0 grains. They functioned fine, but they were running about 177,000 power factor, and I'm looking for closer to 166,000, so I'm going to back off a bit and see.

Let me know where the data you are using is coming from and where it is in the range, here or PM, and I'll try and help. I'm sure its not the bullets in and of themselves.

Missouri bullets have the tapered base which speeds up reloading and you don't have to expand the case too much. Very uniform in shape and weight. The one I use is 185-grain 45 ACP Bullseye No. 2. No leading, accurate and good functioning over 3.4-3.6 BE and a 12-LB recoil spring, Model 70 Colt.

200gn RNFP in an XD

Thanks guys. I think I am going to work up the powder to fix the light recoil. Which is causing my faliure to go to slidelock on the final round. I dont have a Chrony so I can only guess. On these rounds there is a crimp ring on the bullet. anyone loading these 200gn RNFP in an XD that can tell me what OAL they are running.

I'm still in the dark as to how to properly open the boxes. Who know the trick?

Cut the tape on the box on both sides of the top and on both sides of the front label. The lid then folds up.
