From the sounds of things, you guys are one heck of a company.
Unfortunately, you don't carry the main thing I'm trying to reload: 8mm.
Precisely, 170gr RN 8mm.

If ya'll ever start those up, I'll be all over you.

bombmaster,
My Son- In- Law has an XD .45 , he runs the 220gr RNFP using 5.2 grs. Unique, OAL 1.219. This has been flawless and one of his favorite loads.
I also use this load in my .45's and never a problem. These are Missouri bullets.:)
Hope this helps.

i just want to throw in a quick note

i ordered my bullets just over a weekago #1 whitetails and noticed my card was charged but i hadnt gotten them

so i made a phone call the lady was very nice in formed me that when io ordered they were out and they had just finished the casting and were sizing them today, that they should be shipped in the next few days
very nice lady and what she told me on the phone matched the faq page to the time line for them being out of bullets

great customer service friendly people and hopefully a great product

Missouri Bullets

I have been on THR several times as a lurker and just registered today.

I am new to reloading and the info here is top notch.

I also placed my first order for bullets today too.

It was through Missouri Bullets and Brad was very friendly and courteous.
:):):)

There's nothing like good old courteous customer service.
He said my order would ship out tomorrow.

Thanks Brad

It certainly is a rip-off of the Woodstock Peace Dove. Very good observation!

My good friend Chuck Wittig did up that logo to use on t-shirts and signs at Gunstock '94, a gun rights event held in Kansas City at Penn Valley Park, which was sponsored by the Western Missouri Shooters Alliance. We thought the Peace Dove perched on an M16 barrel would send a nice, friendly message. He used PC Paint, which was quite the graphics program at the time.

I remember my favorite sign from that event, which as you recall was the year the "AWB" was signed, and which was the impetus for our rally. The sign said "Clinton Can Kiss my AR15" with a lovely graphic of the rifle.

Since Chuck was the one who got me interested in automated bullet casting with Magma Engineering equipment, I thought it only fair to steal the design from him and use it as our company logo.

Thanks, Chuck! Peace, brother!

I placed an order on Tuesday, shipment arrived on Friday. Great service!!

I placed an order with a different bullet caster nearly 4 weeks ago . . . . . still waiting. Last time I do that.

Weekend workup with Chrony

OK guys. Thank you all for your advice. I have taken out my new chrony and worked up some data. I ran the 200gn LRNFP bullet that was recommended to me to run IDPA matches. I own both the 4" and 5" XD45 so I ran the bullets through the chrony in both guns. I attached my results for you to look at. I loaded the recommended load of 5.2gn unique and found a FPS average of 647 this load is too light and wasn't reliable,(FTL/FTE). Next weekend Ill be trying to narrow the charge in the 5.7-6.0 range. This might all be moot as my 700x has shipped and will be working that powder up next to a load that will equal the unique final workup.

At 647 fps you are only making about a 129,000 and change power factor. You need 165,000 for IDPA "major" (CDP/ESR) or at least 825 fps. If you are shooting the XD in ESP, then 129,000 would be fine if it would cycle the action.

I haven't used Unique in years, but obviously its capible of a lot more velocity than you are getting. Is 5.2 grains the starting load?

Yea! I attached a PDF but I cant see it. (New Member syndrom Im sure). It has all the loads I ran through the chrony today. I only went up to 5.8gn of unique today which gave me a 785 average in the 4" and 815 average in the 5".

I ordered 2k using the high road code, but I have a question would I have been better off emailing you from work for the military discount? Either way thanks for thinking about us.
