I have ordered from them before. The part that I need is different than the ones that they had. I compared it to some that I have at home.

Nice CraigC!!!

Set up with a coil sprung action (and all the other goodies), Remingtons are the ROA equal . . . just lighter and more compact . . . !!

I just started in blackpowder about 2 years ago, did a lot of research before buying my first revolver - decided I liked the look of the 1858 Remington NMA, started with a used Pietta. I then bought a second one, a used Uberti this time. Eventually I sold the Pietta and bought a NIB Cimarron Uberti to replace it.

At one point I also had the .45 Colt Kirst Konverter and ejector assembly and it was fun but eventually sold it.

Here are pics of my revolvers and rig.

I had the belt made locally , the (2) holsters were cheapies bought off eBay - all of the other stuff - powder flask pouch, dual cylinder pouch, Polish Capper carrier and cartridge case were made by LeathersmithMike in Colorado

I have (2) different woods on the grips that came with my Uberti so I started looking at replacing them. Found a lot of options but one was particularly interesting, casting my own. I bought a trial kit from Smooth-On . Comes with silicone to make the mold , sealer and release sprays and polyurethane to make the parts. Here are some pics of my first effort, took about 2 hrs of my time including some fitting work post-casting but turned out not too bad.

Nice first effort with the grip making! Always been a big fan of faux ivory grips (can't afford the real thing), especially with a blued gun!

The mouse gun is cool for small jobs, the 1858 with round ball will do anthing that needs doing where I parctice gravity fu holding down logs, and trying to drink coffee before it levitates. I'm pretty good at both and I need great hunting tools because I'm not as good at that.
CS Bushman is a great blade for even small chopping, it can cut, slice, carve. Made a self bow with it. The mini bushman is the best bp non traditional knife ever discontinued that I have seen. Handle of the small one was warpped in braided high test line, electric and duct tape. Blade is kept clean and sharp for cooking.
Really not that heavy for what you get in return. Most of the time I'm sitting around with that belt over my shoulder and only shoot deer at atlatl ranges in 'self defense' I'm a gifted camp cook even for one. Have a mangled leg and about a three mile a day range before it gets to be not as much fun. So while I also love the Colt replicas a few ounces isn't a big deal If I'm on my feet all day I'll just skip the pocket and one knife.
Love all my replicas. The 1860 is my favorite shooter. There is more to carrying a gun than simply shooting it said the old donut dunking expert security guard. ;) If I absolutely positively want to reach out and touch something this is a most pleasant almost boring tool for me.

Now I am mulling a brass 5" and brass pocket model just because reasons. Also considering a steel 5" bbl model for durability but that weapon would be carried much more than I would shoot it with full power loads. I would carry it with a cylinder having five chambers stuffed just in case or use it like a .22 that leaves smaller pieces of metal laying bout and throws bigger pieces of lead? They swap out cylinders quick enough. I am defiitely getting a brassy pocket model. Anybody else have a 'pretty' one? Ever since Kevin Kostner carried one in that Hatfield McCoy movie I've wanted a Sheriff's brassy. Kevin's Army brassy did better acting than he did in that one IMHO :D No offense to Mr. K's fans intended.
