Thumler liner breaking down?

it might pay you to call Thumbler. They used to have a parts dept. that would also sell you used parts at a huge discount. They do a lot of testing and their testing produces lots of used parts that are still functional. I bought used parts (drums) from them back when I used their machines.

Thank you! That's great info to know. I am hoping I was over reacting, and won't need a liner. I should know that this weekend

Lanolin is a terrific lube but turns into a sticky mess. When I need to remove it from something, I wet tumble with TSP and hot water.
I think I'm going to do my best to stay away from lanolin if I can; One Shot wax has been working fine. But tsp is a good option for cleaning the pins or ceramics if l accidentally pick up some lanolin lubed cases in the future.

Took a while longer than expected to get some brass ready, but spent this week running brass through the pins and ceramics. Only one batch of range-pick-up .30-30 cases came out covered in thick grey. The rest, before and after, came out very nicely. I have been very diligent in cleaning with tsp between tumblings.

Thank you all for being patient and guiding me past my knee-jerk first reaction

For me, the fun part of reloading is figuring out all the little speed bumps that pop up and the learning associated with them. Throwing a bunch of brass in a hopper, running a lever, and having ammo fall out the end all the time would be soooo booring.

Which is why I never went progressive. Just surprised I haven't run into this in the previous 10 years or so.
