I have a Tikka T3 hunter in 7mm rem mag. I really like the stock on it but I have noticed the checkering is really fragile.

I have looked all over the internet and cannot find a synthetic stock for it. I would love to have a "beater" stock to use hunting and such.

If you have any suggestions as to where to find one please let me know.

No offense man, but use it, get some scratches on it. We are talking about a mass produced rifle here, not a priceless work of art. Some wear and tear are the marks of a fine field gun. ;)

Brownell's had 'em, but you'll freak when you see their price. Best bet is to look around for anyone who does custom stock work and ask 'em if they'll make one for a Tikka. You might get lucky and come across one guy looking to get into a new market. Start with McMillan; they're good people to deal with.

As I recall, CDNN had some Tikka wood stocks going pretty cheaply. If you can't find a synthetc alternate, another wood stock should siut your purpose.
