Tired, old, sad and ugly

Found this in the dollar bin at a gun show table.
As you can see I had to do a lot of work to get it to this point
The main blade tip was broken and I had to reshape it. Clean, oil, sharpen, and polish.
The scales are all worn down and the missing chunk I fitted in a piece of polished horn.
It dates to the late 40's and is stamped Van Camp, which was a hardware store chain and had Schrade make their knives. 1095 I think.
Neat little knife.

Tired, as in the spring is shot or the walk and talk is gone?

No, it walks and talks good, and the spring is ok, but it was used a lot for a long time. I suspect it is a few years older the me.
