Will have to let us know how things go with your first range trip and keep us updated as to it's overall reliability and durability. Have read some things about parts breakage with the Regent BR9 that would give me a bit of cause for concern.

Can't wait for the range report. I'd been eyeing these since I first saw they were on sale.

My Tisas 1911 has been great. I hope the OP's BHP is every bit as good.

Not sure I care much for the "Regent" rollmark or the rowel hammer design, but it appears they got the rest of the pistol right.

I am gaining confidence in the quality of Turkish-made firearms, for sure.

Would like to see the "blue" finish in person; looks a bit like S&W's new finish on its "Classic" series revolvers (more like shiny black paint than a nice, deep bluing job).

Have not seen this locally; any input on how much they're going for retail in the shops?

What parts did you switch out and what did you replace them with?

Were you having any problems with the gun before you changed the parts?

Pretty much everything:

Replaced fire control system with SFS, this includes the extended slide stop. Replaced trigger with C&S trigger. Replaced all springs with BHSS versions. Replaced firing pin stop, extractor, firing pin, etc. with FN versions. I also replaced the stocks with Uncle Mike's Craig Spegel designed ones.

No, I had had no problems, I did all this before firing a single round. I did this because:

1) I wanted to based upon initial reports, and
2) Because this is what I wanted to end up with.
