THR members from the Minneapolis area may be familiar with the grief that Koscielski's Guns & Ammo have been going through for over ten years.

If you're not familiar with their problem, please read on.

Koscielski's is the last real gun shop in Minneapolis. The " City Fathers" found ways to drive all the other gun shops out of business.

The owners, Mark and Barb, have fought the City Fathers at least twice before, and won both times. Mark and Barb are good people.

The City Fathers hit them with a "cease and desist" order on July 1st that prevents them from selling guns or ammunition. In other words, they are prohibited from selling the goods that keep them in business.

Mark and Barb decided to try a special sale: buy a knife, and get a box of 9mm ammo for free.

No Dice, said the judge (who also is the same judge that keeps harrassing them).

Mark has decided to go to court, which means that he could do jail time for offering a box of ammo with the sale of a knife. And he's told me he's ready to go to jail, if that's what it takes.

Folks, if the City Fathers can do it to Mark and Barb, they can do it to anyone, anywhere. I already saw a good gun shop in Fairfax, VA get shut down because the anti's used the zoning board to achieve their goals.

Mark and Barb have a website--http://www.savethegunshop.com/--that details their experiences with the City Fathers over the last decade.

Mark and Barb have spent over a hundred thousand dollars over the last decade defending the rights of gun owners in Minneapolis.

Isn't it time you helped them?

On their website you can purchase non-gun items to help them continue their fight.

Please do so.

And please forward this to every gun owner you know.

Because, if it ain't you today, it's going to be you tomorrow.

The only thing I saw for sale is a coffee mug and t-shirt. Do they have a web site to look at accessories and other firearm related item. If they do let me know as I'm sure I can find a few things to buy and help support them.

Isn't Mark the fellow who coined the term "Murderapolis" a few years back?
That's him!

We need to keep Mark in Minnesota, Minneapolis specifically.

Which one is that? The only gunshop I've seen close in Fairfax was closed because the actual property owners couldn't afford the insurance with a gunshop there (owners weren't anti and supposedly liked the shop). Hardly a zoning issue.

mtnbkr, it was All American. The owner of the shop told me that they'd lost their lease. They tried to find another location in town, but he said the zoning board wouldn't approve anything they'd found.

Is Minneapolis in cahoots with Chicago?

Sounds like the constitution means squat to those in power.

What a disgusting and deplorable situation.

That part of Minneapolis where he is located is going through a "revitalization" so I'm sure the city leaders felt that a gun shop was not the right image to have. I've been around that area a few times and believe me, they have bigger problems around there than a gun shop... :banghead:
