Hello,

Keano44

I am glad that i was able to share the hunt with you ,
this area that i hunt i have taken 7 bucks that score between 130 to 168 P.Y. as my passion has been with the bow and arrow , i have shot in all levels of competition so the 45 yd shot that i had on this deer just wasnt right but i did get to see him destroy a tree about as big as a pepsi can for about five minutes .

the area is river bottoms very thick with heavy cover , they have plenty of beans and corn more than anything else they have the time to grow . today i took the head to work to show the guys
the average guess was between 160 to 170 . he had 13 scoreable points , 6 inches around the bases that ran up around the first 4 1/2 inches , in the middle of his rack he was 5 inches around , G1/G2/G3s was from 10 1/2 , 10 and nine inches ,from base to tips was 22 1/2 on the right and 23 on the left . his inside spread was 17 3/4 outside was 19 5/8 inches .

On Saturday 11/15 was my birthday , my son was suppose to come over and we would hunt together so i waited on him and he didnt show so i went on down to my hunting area as i pulled in i saw two does in the cornfield about 150 yds i let them both go , so i waited another 30 minutes thinking my son would show up he didnt i grabbed my gear /rifle and went over the levy too my stand as soon as i was in the stand i heard a deer jump into the creek a doe 30 yds away i watched her cross the creek i heard another deer right down in front of me about 25 yds that was the buck i could see the tips of his horns in the tall weeds i let him walk and go into the creek and on the other side about 65 yds i took the shot , at first i was going to let this buck go he didnt look that large to me at first and i grunted a larger buck in a week ago but it was across the creek and out of bow range .

Thanks Again for the replies
