I'm finding more and more cases from the lesser known or even new makers. Yesterday I picked up Barnes, Perfecta, and Aguila. Is this the new norm?

The Barnes looked like quality brass but it was a caliber that I don't load. I find a lot of FC with crimped primers in 223. I think Aguila is Remington from Mexico.

Aguila (Mexican) and Perfecta (Italy) are fine names in my book. Barns is an old name, but I have no experience in it's use.
Both the former names are priced right and do the job.

Global Economy. So yes, the new "norm"

Perfecta is made by Fioochi (Italy) but distributed by Tula.

Agulla is indeed Mexican, they make good rimfire ammo, and a few centerfire that is OK (according to a article I just read)

FC is Federal and they probably just end up crimping it like 5.56 Probably more cost effective to just do it all.

Heck Sellier and Belliot is under the Magtech corporation CBC but per their MSDS the primers are still made in Czech Republic and S, America.

Perfecta is what Walmart stocks as the cheapest brass cased option now. Barnes is high end, I wouldn't hesitate to scrounge as much of that as possible. Aguila as was correctly aforementioned is Mex. Only experience so far is w/ Perfecta... seems fine so far. Try to avoid A-Merc and stock your SP Federal & Blazer .45ACP casings separate from the Win, Rem, etc. I load SP .45 in batches of 50 to shoot at places where I KNOW I'm gonna lose a lot of brass. Hope that helps, YMMV. Good luck. :)

I've loaded plenty of Perfecta and Aguila 9mm with no issues. Aguila isn't my favorite, but I don't dislike it enough to kick it out.
