Going this morning to pick up my Mitchell Trophy. Already have several types of match ammo, dozens of targets printed up. Hope I'm not disappointed. Had to get rid of my old Mitchell many moons ago, and have regretted it ever since. Range report to follow.

Me much big happy

Spent a few hours out getting to know my new baby. Offhand, at ten yrds, everything threw 5 shots into 1/2inch, and Aguila SE just makes one ragged hole. CCI Green Tag looked like it might be abit tighter, but at $10/100 it isn't that much tighter. Trigger pull is measured in ounces, and travel is in mm's. Feels like I could pull the trigger with a strong thought. Groups at 25yrds opened up to over 3 inches, but most of that is because I can't see. Might even put some glass on it eventually. Only problem I had was some yahoo has been dry firing it to the point that there is a burr on the chamber face. Makes some of the ammo I tried, the Aguila unfortunately, stick and FTE. Easy enough to fix, but annoying nonetheless.

Can't see? Welcome to the crowd. As they get older, groups go wider and sights are harder to see.

And don't I know it too .... I relish all the assistance i can find ..... :p

Sounds good Okie ... but your comment re the burr - makes me think of recent dry-fire thread and comments that modern rimfire guns do not have a problem!! Hmmmm!

I've always heard that dry firing a rimfire can cause this, but this is the first time I've seen it. Of course, I make it a point not to dry fire my rimfires. This one is BAD!:fire: I thought I could just use some sanding to get it smoothed up, but it's definately doing to take my jewler's files, if I can remember where I put them. Too bad, because other than that, the pistol is in excellent condition.
