Top shot show on History

great episode tonight. Definitely glad that Ashley got kicked. I like everyone else left except for him. Overall, I'm going for Joe Serafini, and I think he has a good shot of winning it all

George said he was voting on performance, what a hypocrite.

Ashley gone - poetic justice

Joe - the only one with any balls out of the whole bunch for volunteering.

Geez, I thought Ashley was going to cry when things didn't go his way. What an a**. Now If the other a**, George, can get his clocked cleaned. I wouldn't want to be around either of those two in any circumstance.

Great ending. All the whining about the FAL...it's not .223. Learn to shoot a .30 Cal.

I'm entirely in the camp that wanted Ashley to go, and I've wanted George to really put up for the entire season. I'm rooting for Jamie, just because they've been such jerks to him. Yes, he's in the military. Yes, he doesn't give great details about what he does.

I would think most military, or former military, members would learn to back off. Maybe he does something crazy and offensive. Or maybe he just works on a robotic project the military doesn't want discussed. Maybe he works on a boat that is still considered secret, and can't discuss it.

Hear that George? The military has people who do more than pump iron and insult other people.

Chris R. is the gentlemen of gentlemen... Lol, he was a lil' mean mid-season, but he was cool tonight taking up for Jamie...

Goo Chris Reed!

Chris Reed or Joe are who me and my roommates are cheering for. Once Jay left we liked the show a good bit more. Now that Ashley is gone we can concentrate on the shooting not the MTV drama.

I couldnt stop laughing at George whining about the FAL and the small plank he had to shoot from

I would LOOOOVE to see him come back next season with an all sniper edition of topshot maybe some of the guys from USMC Army and Navy can show the airforce brat how to shoot

I lost interest in the show. Did not watch it. Hoping next season doesn't have voting in the individual elimination rounds.

:pA"womens only" Top-Shot ?? Really ?? The show is already overflowing with drama,, Now you would have them add female-hormones to the mix ?? Great, now i can watch the contestants cry for each other when they get eliminated,,,

A little off the original subject, but is exactly the type of male attitude that keeps women away from the gun ranges. Most women marksmen that I know are very centered, talented, and well-balanced individuals - and they are not the same crying bimbos you see on other TV shows.

I realize this is meant to be funny since we're talking about a stupid reality show that is masquerading as a marksmanship competition, but my earlier point is the same. Attitudes like this are why there will NEVER be a woman winning Top Shot.

Back to the show: I was pleased that Jamie won immunity and foiled the plans of the Bunkhouse Boys. He proved to everyone that he deserves to be in Top Shot - even George gave him credit for his performance.

I've always believed shows like Jersey Shore and The Hills were scripted, probably Sons of Guns too.

I'd always thought that shows like Top Shots were just edited to bring out the most controversy. Last night, Ashley's tirade almost makes me believe this show was scripted as well. It would be a shame if honest, real life people with no ambitions of acting would go along with that.

I had no real hard headed preference for the winner until tonight. Jamie needs to kick all of their asses. The fact that they had decided he was going to elimination before the challenge even happened? Ridiculous.

Jamie is gonna have a crap ton of cash to spend at Bass Pro

Yeah and Jamie dominated took just a bit more 75% of the time of the next best shooter and the competition before he was the second fastest overall. If it weren't for the politics of the house I'd pick him as the front runner to win and he still might!

I guess I'm the only one who kind of likes George. He's loud and cocky, but at least you know where you stand with the guy. The same couldn't be said of Ashley. Yeah George said he didn't like the FAL, but I wouldn't call it whining. The only 30 cals I've shot were AR10's and deer rifles...so I'd be complaining, too. "I hate shooting that FAL, it stinks" isn't whining in my book, it's a guy saying he doesn't like shooting it.

I hope Gunny or Chris Reed win.

Jaime definitely drew the short straw. I was glad to see him win immunity. I'd like to see what goes on behind the cameras. No one seems to like the guy and there are usually good reasons behind universal dislike. I doubt the reason is that they view him as the ultimate threat in the competition. He's not well liked, he knows it and he deals with it by staying in it to win it. It shows integrity and determination, but not so much that it puts him in a league of his own.

they should make this show simple...

the worst finsher in each event goes home no voting no whining no aliances no dramatic reality tv bull puckey just plain and simple shoot like your butt depended on it and see how far you go

Or you could just go watch a local match Saturday and get the same affect.

Seriously, though...they have to put a reality show spin on it and use creative editing to create drama even if there isn't any there. Otherwise it won't appeal to the masses. There aren't enough guys like us out there to justify the expense of an honest competition show. The viewing base just isn't there.

Kinda ironic isn't it-Ashley goes off on Jamie because he is stressed about not wanting to go to elimination & encourages Chris to vote for him to go to elimination.

Of the ones left I would like to see Chris Reed or Gunny win but who knows how it will all play out. It does look like they will be doing some neat stuff before it's over with.

Yeah...I'd like to try the stunt from the next one. Being lowered from a hoist in a harness at a height 150 feet or so, face down and trying to hit targets. Sounds fun.

I found it interesting how well everyone shot the Hi Power, while at the same time the shooting with the Sig was mediocre at best. Yet, the Hi Power was chosen because everyone would be unfamiliar with it. That Hi Power is a hell of a pistol!

My guess is that MOST of them have probably had a little time with both a SIG and the Hi Power.

I personally have not shot a Hi Power in AGES - though it technically was the first handgun I ever fired (in high school my friend's dad one one that he'd let us shoot out back). I do own a SIG that I shoot fairly often though, and I'll say that the ergonomics on the Hi Power are better. The SIG has a feel of quality, but also is a bit odd and blocky.

Also of note - the barrel on a SIG 228 is 3.9", compared to 4.7" on the Browning Hi Power. The longer sight radius, particularly on the unstable platforms, may have helped a bit.

Go Jamie or Chris Reed!
Though, admitedly Joe is starting to grow on me.

As for the Hi-Power, I've only shot one once but that thing was a dream to shoot imnsho.

I think Ian said that in reference to the FAL.

I thought it was particularly telling when George (AF guy), thought the FAL was comparable to the M-16, rather than the M14...makes you wonder about his label of sniper. It has been a while, but my ex-BIL, while in the AF, was issued a M14 (designated marksman) while in Egypt...so you know they had some in inventory

There was definitely some satisfaction for me in last night's episode. When Jamie won immunity you could literally read the "Oh crap. Now what do we do?" look on everyone's faces. Chris Reed is my hero now. I've always liked him but despite the outward integrity he and Gunny have shown I've still felt a decreased level or respect because while they weren't instigating anything underhanded they seemed to be going along with with it silently. It was great to see Chris speak up and say "That aint right". Ashley really disappointed. Early in the season I had a lot of respect for him but he burned that up like a tumbleweed fire last night. I don't think Joe is the strongest shooter but he's probably the guy I'd most like to be friends with. As long as Jamie, Chris, or Joe win I'll be satisfied.

I still think they ruined the concept by making it a "reality" show with "voting" like survivor, If it was purely based on shooter-performance the contestants would be completely different,, IMO Jamie is in the zone,, looks like he's gonna take it !!
